What are die cut paper pieces and hexiform pieces?
Die cut paper pieces and hexiform pieces are pre-cut shapes made of cardstock or hexiform that are used as templates for English paper piecing. They provide a foundation around which fabric is folded and stitched to create precise shapes.
How do I use die cut paper pieces and hexiform pieces for English paper piecing?
To use die cut paper pieces or hexiform pieces, simply place the template on the wrong side of your fabric, fold the fabric over the edges of the template, and baste or whip stitch the fabric in place. Once all the pieces are sewn together, the paper templates are removed. For hexiform, there is not need to remove the templates.
